Position: Board Member, REIC National Board of Directors
Duration: 2 year terms, maximum of 3 terms
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the real estate community? Do you have skills and experience that could benefit our association? If so, you might be the perfect candidate to join our Board of Directors.
We are a not-for-profit association committed to the highest professional and ethical standards in the real estate industry. We are looking for board members who can help us achieve our strategic goals, oversee our governance, and support our growth and development efforts.
As a board member, you will be expected to:
- Attend board meetings and participate in committee work;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plan;
- Monitor and evaluate our financial and CEO’s performance;
- Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and ethical standards;
- Advocate for our association and promote our visibility in the real estate community; and
- Network and build relationships with potential partners.
We are seeking board members who have:
- Been in good standing with the Institute for no less than 2 years;
- Have participated on a Chapter Board, and/or been on a National committee/taskforce;
- A commitment to our mission, vision, and values;
- A willingness to devote time and energy to the board;
- A collaborative and respectful attitude;
- A diversity of perspectives and backgrounds; and
- Experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: governance, finance, strategy, business development.
The nominations process is pursuant to Article V of REIC By-Law no.11 (September 2023).
