Position Summary:

At REIC, we value the power of effective visual communication in our promotional efforts and educational materials. We are seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our team for a 4-month internship during the summer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the design and creation of various graphic materials to support our marketing initiatives and educational programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, proficiency in graphic design software, and a genuine drive to contribute creatively to our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and creation of visual materials, including but not limited to: promotional materials, digital assets, social media graphics, and educational materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure visual consistency across all marketing and educational platforms and materials.
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts to support marketing campaigns and educational initiatives.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of digital asset libraries.
  • Assist with other design-related tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graphic design or related program.
  • Knowledge of layouts, typography, color, and other graphic design fundamentals.
  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Bonus: Adobe Premier, After Effects).
  • Proficient in the setup of print ready files for production.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have access to a personal laptop and design editing software for work purposes (a technology benefit is provided).
  • Portfolio link or samples of recent work.
  • Some experience working with other professional associations or non-profits would be an asset, although not required.
  • Bilingualism in English and French would be an asset, although not required.
