JPD owns and manages more than 300 income- generating properties across Canada and the United States, including 56 grocery-anchored shopping centres, totaling over 20 million square feet. With a strong pipeline of development projects and a portfolio valued at over $4.5 billion, JPD is positioned for continued growth.
This is an incredible opportunity to join one of Canada’s most iconic organizations. Reporting directly to the President of JPD, the Vice President will oversee the strategic and financial performance of the portfolio, working closely with property management, development, finance, and investment teams. This role combines high-level strategic oversight with operational leadership, ensuring the portfolio meets its performance targets while capturing opportunities to enhance income, reposition assets, and support development and redevelopment initiatives. The VP will also lead and mentor a team of asset managers,
fostering a high-performance culture and implementing best-in-class asset management practices.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate executive with a proven track record managing complex commercial portfolios, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties. They are a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, experienced in financial modeling, valuations, and risk-return analysis. The VP must be a collaborative leader who can influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior executives.
The ideal candidate brings at least ten years of progressive experience in real estate asset management, investment management, or portfolio management, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, demonstrating the ability to deliver results while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.

The targeted salary range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
